javascripts: July 26, 2008. A Sikh spins the Chakar on 4th avenue in downtown Seattle. "Chakar" is a weapons used in Gatka, an ancient martial art. Thousands of people take part in Annual Southwest Airlines torchlight parade in downtown Seattle. To make sure they get the best seat people started lining up streets of 4th Avenue as early as 7.30 AM. The actual parade started at 7.30 PM. One group of people went so far that they built the whole one-bedroom apartment on the street, with the full kitchen, living room with the carpet, and a kids' room.
