Tamara H. photographed in Pioneer Square, in an alley where she spent many days and nights buying, selling and using drugs. Officially she was never homeless; however, she did spend many months roaming and sleeping on the street. She is a mother of five children, and a grandmother of two. With the exception of one son, her other four children are on the road to become to very successful individuals. With help of one of her sons, Tamara moved from the street to UGM, where she completed her drug-recovery treatment. She still lives at UGM's transitional facility in Kent, where she works at a local Safeway bakery.
