Originally from the former Yugoslavia, I immigrated to the United States in 2001. My choice to become a photographer came as a natural one: losing my country, my home, and every photograph from my childhood was both hard and productive. It defined my vision and made me even more determined to document life around me.
I am a recent graduate of the photography program at the Seattle Central Community College. So far, my personal projects have focused on exploring a growing homeless population in Seattle area. In 2008 I participated in the Missouri Photo Workshop, which further defined my drive for storytelling. My current project “Graveyard Shift” depicts and explores night shift workers and the impact graveyard shift has on their lives.
